Please can you let me know whether you will be repeating the second series of Call the Midwife before the rumoured third series commences in April? Thank you

BBC

Dear Grace,

Thank you for your message to BBC Entertainment Europe.

We don't have any plans to show Call The Midwife series 2 on BBC Entertainment again in the near future, but there will be an opportunity to see series 1 in May.

You advised a while ago that in April you will be showing extra episodes of Eastenders every week. Can you tell me from which date this will be?

BBC

Dear Karen,

Thank you for your message to BBC Entertainment Europe.

From Monday 20th April we will be showing premiere episodes of EastEnders on BBC Entertainment from Monday to Friday. This will continue until Friday 29th May, when we will have regained the three week difference between BBC One and BBC Entertainment. We hope that this information is helpful.

Best wishes,

BBC Entertainment

I am a fan of Eastenders, and the plot is currently at a very interesting stage (Lucy's murder). Can you please explain to me why you have to keep changing the show time, randomly from day to day without any warning? The morning showing is the only one I can watch and this varies from 9.55, 10:00, 10.10, 10:20 and for some reason this morning it was suddenly at 09:35, so I have missed it completely! This is really irritating and should not happen, you should be able to organise your schedule to regular times as they are mostly all re-runs in any case. Unfortunately, BBC Entertainment is the only BBC channel available in Austria, and I cannot download programmes on the BBC I-player in Austria (it is blocked).

BBC

Dear Leena,

Thank you for your message to BBC Entertainment Europe.

Due to differing programme durations throughout the rest of the BBC Entertainment schedule, it's not always possible to show EastEnders at the same time each day. However, you may be pleased to know that next month we will be changing the time of EastEnders, and premiere episodes of the programme will be shown at 20:30 CEST each evening from Monday 20th April, and there will also be greater consistency with our morning slots, when the programme will be shown as close to 10:30 as possible. These times are always available in advance via our TV Schedule, which may help you to plan your viewing of this programme.

Thank you for your interest in EastEnders.

Best wishes,

Ruth

Thanks for broadcasting the second series of Scott & Bailey and Call the Midwife. They are absolutely marvellous and I just hope that we won't have to wait too long before you show the third series of both shows!

BBC

Dear Ruth,

Thank you for message to BBC Entertainment Europe.

We are delighted to hear how much you have enjoyed the recent series of Call The Midwife and Scott & Bailey on BBC Entertainment. We hope to continue to showing both of these dramas on the channel in future and, although we don't have any firm plans for series 3 of these programmes, we will share your interest in watching these with our scheduling team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

Rae

what anniversary eastenders ???? How about a reply BEFORE they are finished !!

BBC

Dear Rae,

Thank you for your message to BBC Entertainment Europe.

Our message regarding the 30th Anniversary episodes of EastEnders refers to the special episodes which were shown on BBC One last month and culminated in the reveal of Lucy Beale's killer. These episodes are being shown on BBC Entertainment between 19th-25th March, featuring scenes which were filmed live. The final episode was filmed completely live.

Carla

Dear BBC Entertainment Staff,

Please, could you tell me when we will be getting other episodes of the Weakest Link here in Europe? Any of the older seasons would be great (like back to the beginning) just not the same season that has been repeating for ages already.

TY! Carla :)

BBC

Dear Carla,

Thank you for your message to BBC Entertainment Europe.

We are currently showing episodes from series 12 of The Weakest Link and, although we don't have any current plans to show other series of this programme, we will share your feedback with our scheduling team. We are pleased to hear of your interest in The Weakest Link.

Best wishes,

BBC Entertainment

Laura

It's very frustrating seeing east enders several weeks after the UK especially since here in France we are so near. We always know what's going to happen a month ahead of time. It has improved - it used to be longer. It was especially disappointing tonight for the episode that was supposed to have been a double episode exposing Lucy's killer. We only had the first half of the double episode and have to wait 4 days for the rest of it. What is the reason that we can't have double episodes on the rare occasions that the epidosdes are meant to be double and is there any plan to "catch up" and be able to see episodes less than a month after the UK?

BBC

Dear Laura,

Thank you for your message to BBC Entertainment Europe.

We are unable to bring viewers of BBC Entertainment any closer than 3 weeks within UK transmission of EastEnders, and this is due to issues with materials. When we show the programme internationally, the programme needs to be complied, re-versioned, and appropriate subtitles prepared and supplied. It would simply not be possible to achieve this in a shorter time period. With regards to our plans for longer episodes, we compile our schedules months in advance and we schedule EastEnders in a 30 minute slot. Therefore, any 60 minute episodes are split into two so that we can retain our usual scheduling pattern and minimise disruption to the rest of the schedule.

You will be pleased to know that, from Monday 20th April we will be showing premiere episodes of EastEnders on BBC Entertainment from Monday to Friday. This will continue until Friday 29th May, when we will have regained the three week difference between BBC One and BBC Entertainment.

Best wishes,
